Editorial Policy

Trust, clarity and rigour in every gear our permanent commitment to readers in the UAE and beyond.

DriveSolve is an independent educational platform dedicated to simplifying automotive technology, maintenance and buying decisions. This policy outlines how we maintain integrity, accuracy and independence.

Our editorial mission

DriveSolve exists to help drivers, buyers, and enthusiasts make smarter automotive decisions in the UAE market. We focus on simplifying complex automotive topics through clear explanations, research-backed insights, and transparent information from engine diagnostics to insurance fine print, always with local relevance.

“We translate mechanic speak into everyday language, and we never sacrifice truth for trend.”

Editorial principles

Accuracy

Every claim is traced to primary sources: OEM technical bulletins, SAE papers, certified mechanics, and UAE regulatory bodies. We correct errors promptly and highlight updates.

Clarity

Complex topics turbochargers, differentials, ADAS are broken down with step‑by‑step explanations, glossaries, and real‑world analogies. No jargon without definition.

Transparency

We disclose testing methods, sample vehicles, assumptions, and any limitations. Sponsored content is clearly labelled and never influences independent reviews.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made without interference from advertisers, sponsors, or external stakeholders. Our only allegiance is to the reader’s right to unbiased information.

Content creation process

Editorial review
Publication

How it works: each article begins with structured research (technical papers, interviews with mechanics, OEM specs). A second editor fact‑checks every number and quote. The piece then undergoes a senior editorial review for clarity, fairness, and legal safety. Finally, it’s published with a clear date and version.

Fact‑checking & references

We maintain a internal database of trusted sources: UAE Ministry of Energy, RTA manuals, international standards (ISO, SAE), and a network of ASE‑certified technicians. Every statistic or technical assertion is linked to its origin.

  • Primary sources preferred (manufacturer data, peer‑reviewed studies).
  • Secondary sources (reputable news, industry journals) are cross‑verified.
  • Anonymous sources never used for technical claims.

⚙️ Expert reviewers

Articles on complex systems (hybrid drivetrains, ADAS, engine management) are reviewed by external specialists from our reviewer pool, including former engineers and workshop owners with 10+ years experience in the UAE.

  • Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience.
  • Reviewer names are published with the article (unless anonymity is requested).
  • Reviewers are never paid by brands we cover.

Corrections & content updates

Automotive knowledge evolves and so do we.

DriveSolve periodically reviews and updates articles to maintain accuracy. When a significant correction is made (factual error, outdated data), we:

  • Append a correction notice at the top of the article, explaining the change.
  • Update the "last revised" date prominently.
  • If the error is substantial, we notify newsletter subscribers and social followers.

Minor clarifications (style, links) are made without notice; any modification that changes meaning is logged internally and externally visible via a changelog on request.

Ethical standards & independence

📯 No paid placement

We do not accept payment for positive reviews, editorial coverage, or link placement. Sponsored content (e.g., from dealerships or parts suppliers) is clearly marked “advertorial” and resides in a separate section of the site, never mixed with editorial.

🔒 Conflicts of interest

All contributors and editors must disclose any financial ties to automotive brands, workshops, or aftermarket companies. If a writer owns a stake in a topic we cover, they recuse themselves from that article.

📬 Reader first

Our buying guides and comparisons are based on independent research and, when possible, firsthand testing. We never accept inventory, free cars, or trips from manufacturers in exchange for coverage.
